This homemade Energy/Protein Bar will keep you going and its Healthy.


 Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of pitted dates
  • 1 cup of almonds
  • 1/2 cup of rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup of unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 1/4 cup of chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup of hemp seeds
  • 1/4 cup of maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup of almond butter
  • 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp of sea salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. In a food processor, blend the dates until they form a paste.
  3. Add in the almonds and blend until the almonds are chopped up into small pieces.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the oats, shredded coconut, chia seeds, and hemp seeds.
  5. Add the almond and date mixture to the bowl of dry ingredients and mix well.
  6. In a small saucepan, heat the maple syrup, almond butter, vanilla extract, and sea salt until it is melted and smooth.
  7. Pour the melted mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients and mix until everything is well combined.
  8. Line a baking dish with parchment paper and press the mixture into the dish.
  9. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, until the edges are lightly browned.
  10. Let the bars cool for at least 10 minutes before cutting them into desired size.
  11. Store the bars in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week or freeze for longer storage.
