Try this Delicious and Nutritious Intestinal Cleansing Beverage

Try as we may to eat clean and healthy, it is not always
possible to be putting the best foods into our systems. Over time we begin to
accumulate toxins that can have a detrimental effect on our digestion,
absorption and elimination. I am often asked by my clients “what can I do for my gut health?”
the simplest thing is to try this delicious and healthy intestinal cleanse
beverage that includes beet, turmeric, ginger, and black pepper:


Ingredients:

  • 1 medium-sized beet, peeled and chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • 1 medium-sized apple, peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup of spinach
  • 2 cups of water
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon of honey (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Add the chopped beet, turmeric, ginger, black pepper, apple, and spinach to a blender.
  2. Pour in 2 cups of water.
  3. Blend everything together until smooth.
  4. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth.
  5. Stir in the lemon juice and honey (if using).
